Survived By: She is survived by her children: George Arthur Guy, and Cathryn “Shelley” Michele Guy; grandchildren: Christopher Harlan Guy, Evan Arthur Guy, and Westley Ryan Guy; sister Gloria (Arthur) and spouse Tom Sand.

Phyllis “No Middle Name” Cotton, a 8 year resident of Rockwall, Texas, passed away, September 29, 2018, at the age of 72. She was born September 11, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Roy Arthur and Mary Catherine Skelton. Phyllis was an avid reader and enjoyed art. She enjoyed watching Dancing With The Stars. Phyllis, along with her husband Christopher, enjoyed building custom homes. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. Phyllis had a heart for animals, particularly rescues. She enjoyed the beach and her favorite places were Sanibel Island and South Padre Island. She is survived by her children: George Arthur Guy, and Cathryn “Shelley” Michele Guy; grandchildren: Christopher Harlan Guy, Evan Arthur Guy, and Westley Ryan Guy; sister Gloria (Arthur) and spouse Tom Sand. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Arthur and Mary Catherine (Skelton) Arthur; her husbands George Guy and Christopher Phillip Cotton. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00, Saturday, October 6, 2018, at First Christian Church of Rowlett, 7301 Miller Rd., Rowlett, TX 75089, with Pastor Ann Dotson officiating, followed by a Celebration Of Life at 2:30, Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Scoreboard, 2410 South Goliad, Rockwall, TX 75032.

I was so sad after reading Phyllis' obituary.  She was a very bright light in our class...always cheerful, funny and enjoyable to be around.  She always had a smile on her face.  She helped make my P-ville school experience FUN!!

May she rest in peace in the hereafter.  I am thankful that our paths crossed!
