I remember Don as one of the smartest guys in our class. I remember him as being quiet and serious but also very sweet and nice to everyone. I was happy to read that he had a successful and rewarding life with a long-term marriage and lots of kids and grandkids. I was sad to hear of his passing.

The gradepoint average of surviving classmates has certainly taken a dip with Don's passing. R.I.P, Don Ascoli!

Oh yes he was smart!  The school work came easy but he was such a nice guy he never let the rest of us know just how smart he was. He chose well by going to Rolla for college. I on the other hand chose to visit Rolla for the party weekends traveling down from Mizzou.  His picture shows he was a gentleman and a scholar.

Don was absolutely one of the smartest people I've ever met!  I remember taking Advanced Physicsa with Don and about 8 other classmates our senior year with Mr. Brown.  Don could break down complex problems into manageable parts and then solve them.  He made it look simple!  Whoa!!  I'm glad that he's now at peace and enjoyed a lifetime of love and affection from his wife and extended family!!
