Obituary

Robert A. “Bob” Blaylock, of Edgar Springs, MO, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the age of 74. He was born in St. Louis, MO on July 16, 1946 to the late Arla and Betty (Mounce) Blaylock. On February 26, 1966 he married Susan Durnbaugh Blaylock, who survives. Mr. Blaylock served in the Army National Guard and served in the reserves for six years. Bob retired as the supervisor of printing and mail services at Missouri S&T. with thirty-five years of service. He was an avid fisherman and most recently developed an interest in electronics creation. He will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes his wife of fifty-four years, Susan Blaylock, of Edgar Springs; his daughter, Marsha Plasse, of Dallas, TX; one brother, Steve Blaylock and wife Nancy, of Buckeye, AZ; three grandchildren, Robert Carson, Madelyn Bailey and Lydia Gayl; other extended family members and dear friends. A graveside service for Robert Blaylock will be held at 1 pm Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Anutt Cemetery in Anutt, MO. Memorial contributions in Bob’s memory are suggested to the Dent County Animal Shelter.

Bob attended Pattonville Elementary, Holman Jr. High and PHS before moving to the Rolla area prior to 1964 graduation.
