Thomas Eugene Davis

Thomas Eugene Davis, 62, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday afternoon at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro. 

Born in Poplar Bluff, Tom lived in St. Louis and Florida before moving to Jonesboro in 1991. He was a mental health professional therapist and a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and earned Master and Specialist degrees from Arkansas State University. 

Tom was a W.W. II history enthusiast and was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Opal Cashion Davis. 

Survivors include his wife, Joy Davis of the home; 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Scott and Rhonda Davis of Jacksonville, Florida, Chris and Jennifer Davis, and Jon and Cassie Morgan, all of Jonesboro; 1 daughter and son-in-law: Sarah and Derick Carter of Jonesboro; 10 grand-children: Lindsey, Clark, Zachary, Hunter, Hannah, Mia, Jack, Sam, Bo, and Wyatt; and 

His special Bassett Buddy, "Bo." 

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Jolly officiating.
