Davids dad owned a gas station at the corner of Warson and Lindbergh. At that time you would have to cross Lindbergh to get to Creve Coeur Lake and hold your breath that nobody hit you. David attended Mt. Pleasant Grade School and was a good friend to all of us in the class of 1957.

This information taken from his obit:
David died on Aug. 4, 2009, he lived in Warrenton. He was the father of Gina Richard, Angela Krome (Jeff) Cheryl Stover (Benny) and Richard Viehmann (April). He had one sister Sandra Tabake. He was also a grandfather.
He was buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on August 14th at 2PM.

Your health was not good and you now have peace. RIP

The fact that David Viehmann did his homework every night is the major reason at least 20 other classmates graduated!!!!! David was a very popular guy on most mornings - before homework was handed in, and, dare I say "generous" - come on guys,,, you know who you are.........

David in high school was many things. He was bright, creative, an extremely hard worker, and willing to do virtually anything (at least once). He was fearless. And funny. And so modest and self-deprecating. David definitely made my high school years more fun and of course unpredictable.

Recounting the thousands of David’s high school exploits is beyond our scope here, but one in particular was the Latin class film some of us made for Mrs. Johnson of the story of Ulysses and the Cyclops. Kurt Wahlbrink played the hero and David the Cyclops. It was worthy of Monty Python in its absurdity. Dave was hilarious as usual and of course died extravagantly. It was all great fun. That was David for me, always ready with the gift of laughter for anyone lucky enough to be around him.

Dave was a 'tweener.  Family business, had to work every day, but desired to be a part of school and latched himself onto Wayne and Gary and me, and we onto him.  He was a delight.
